An AI unit is one unit of model work. Logging a win costs 8 units; generating a full promotion packet costs 100. Unused units do not roll over, and your balance resets on the 1st.

How AI units work

Everything the AI does for you — reading a win you logged, drafting a packet, scanning a connected source — costs units. We meter in units rather than promising unlimited AI because the underlying model cost is real, and a plan that ignores it eventually gets withdrawn or repriced. This way the allowance is visible up front and the price stays put.

For context, the Plus allowance of 3,000 units covers roughly thirty packets a month alongside daily capture — comfortably more than most people use. If you do run out, everything you have already captured stays readable and exportable; only new AI work pauses until the reset.

Questions

What happens to my data if I downgrade or cancel?: Nothing is deleted. Your evidence, sponsors, and rubric stay in your account and stay exportable. Paid features stop and the count limits on the free plan apply to anything new you add.
Do unused AI units roll over?: No. The allowance resets on the 1st of each month.
What if I run out mid-month?: Reading, editing, and exporting what you already have keeps working. Only new AI operations pause. Upgrading raises your allowance immediately rather than at the next billing date.
Can I switch between monthly and annual?: Yes, through the Stripe billing portal in Settings. Changes are prorated by Stripe.
Is my work visible to my employer?: No. Perfolio is an individual tool you sign up for yourself. Nothing is shared with anyone unless you explicitly export or send it.
